Math and Reading

Like all subjects, students are grouped by their academic level, not age. Therefore, students can work at their own pace. Our small groups allows students to be monitored and assessed on a daily basis. A student may progress to the next skill or level once they have shown mastery. Others may continue to work a little longer on some skills to ensure proficiency.

Math and Reading material includes a combination of curriculum that meets state standards, teacher made lessons, manipulatives, songs and games to meet the needs of all learners. Some of our reading curriculum includes Christian text but many of our students also enjoy Harry Potter book studies and themed lessons.
